2nd Street Baking Co. opened its doors in October of 2007 in the beautiful village of Turners Falls, MA with the intention of building a reputation as the most unique custom bakery in Franklin County through a commitment to the community, exceptional customer service, and truly creative and unique quality products. Owners Christa Snyder and Laura Puchalski took their vision of a vibrant, fun & relaxing atmosphere and transformed their space into a welcoming, open-concept kitchen & dining area where customers can interact with the bakers and watch as fresh breads are made by hand and cakes and pastries are skillfully decorated. The resulting character of the bakery is a modern reflection of the community, showcasing local art, creative baked goods, and Christa and Laura's own unique style.

At 2nd Street Baking Co. customers will find a variety of mouth watering cakes, pastries, breads and soups all lovingly crafted by hand without preservatives or mixes. Although the usual favorites are always on display, new and exciting seasonal and holiday items are frequently appearing as Christa and Laura indulge their creative talents, fusing old recipes with modern flavors in a way that can only be described as "Evolving the Art of Baking".
